Congradulations to Colin Strasburg, Director of Digital Identity at Fragomen, on his election to the Velocity Network Foundation Board of Directors.
Colin is a tenured technology innovation strategist and implementer, specialized in digital identity and verifiable credentials. His career has focused on connecting digital wallets and credentials with Workday and other ERP systems for workforce related use case enablement.
He currently leads the digital identity and verifiable credentials work for Fragomen, developing a digital wallet and integrating credentials into immigration service platforms to transform processes supporting global workers in need of work and business travel visas. In his prior role he served as the Global Worker Credentials Lead at Accenture, consulting with 30+ organizations on their digital identity journeys and partnering with leading technology vendors to bring solutions to market. He led the deployment of a digital wallet and credential solution, integrated with Workday, for Accenture new hires to share degree credentials as part of their hiring process. In this role he also developed and tested digital identity use cases for workforce processes, creating business cases and implementation strategies for organizations to consume credentials.
Colin is also the Co-Founder of the Digital Identity Forum, a dedicated community platform for digital identity advocates, experts, and enthusiasts to collaborate and collectively drive adoption in this space. He has served as an advisor and contributor in numerous digital identity and skills related initiatives and working groups including SkillsFWD, HR Open Recruiting Working Group, and Hire Heroes USA Skills-First Consortium.
Speaking of his election to the Board, Colin said:
“I am excited to join the Velocity Network Foundation Board and contribute to the ongoing advancements of digital identity and verifiable credentials. Harnessing the potential of this innovation for the betterment of the global workforce is a team sport that requires organizations and individuals to work together, believing that in the end all of our boats will inevitably rise if we stay focused on common goals. This is the main reason I started following the Velocity Network Foundation back in 2019, because the foundation accomplished something few other groups had in bringing together a large number of leading organizations to pursue a common goal. I look forward to bringing my experience of designing and implementing this technology for large companies to help the foundation gain broader adoption.”
Welcome Colin, we look forward to working with you to drive collaboration and broad adoption!
