Joan Beets joins the Board of Directors of Velocity Network Foundation

Congradulations to Joan Beets, Managing Partner at KennedyFitch, on her election to the Velocity Network Foundation Board of Directors.

In a global corporate career that has spanned 15 years, Joan worked across industries and built a strong career in the field of Human Resources with a track record in both business facing roles and CoE roles.

In 2019, in search of more diversity and autonomy, Joan joined KennedyFitch, a boutique Executive Search, People Advisory and Leadership & Transformation firm, working in the space of People Advisory and Leadership & Transformation as a Partner. 3 years ago, she was part of the founder-owner transition of the firm, taking on a leadership position as Managing Partner and shareholder.

Joan has always been fascinated by humans and the eternal question of why we do the things we do. This interest was most likely sparked by the many moves she has made between Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Joan has been building her capability to explore this question and support companies in their quest to create organizations that empower and enable people to be at their best through further education.

Joan completed an MBA at IMD, where she received the award for best all-round woman of the class, a coaching degree at HEC Paris and is currently completing a certification of Consulting & Change at the Tavistock Institute for Human Relations. Joan serves as a Board Member on the IMD Alumni Association.

Speaking of her election to the Board, Joan said:

As a person of privilege, it is important to me to pay it forward and find ways to make access to education and work more equitable. That is why I am energized by the opportunity to join the Board of Directors of the Velocity Network Foundation and to support them in their mission to empower individuals, business and institutions through verifiable credentials. I am inspired by their vision and look forward to work with the Foundation to making the world of work more transparent and fairer.”
