Jobvite Announces Velocity Network Foundation Membership, Collaborating to Establish Global Blockchain Network

Announcement

Jobvite joins forces with Velocity Network Foundation, building an exchange of trusted career records using the power of blockchain technology

Jobvite (www.jobvite.com), the leading end-to-end talent acquisition suite provider, announces today it has joined the Velocity Network Foundation in an effort to build a global blockchain network for the exchange of verifiable and trusted career credentials. Through this partnership, Jobvite will work with Velocity Network Foundation to establish a reliable network of large vendors to exchange candidate and career records safely and securely, while individuals remain in control of their profiles.

Velocity’s network better enables individuals to take ownership of their own verifiable career records and decide how their data is used by others. As a leader in the talent acquisition industry, Jobvite will work in collaboration with other Velocity Network Foundation members to advance the global blockchain network. Jobvite has long been an innovator in the HR technology space and is committed to shaping the Internet of Careers® movement.

“We are strong supporters of consensus-based open data standards in HR. We believe these standards should be transported via an HR industry consortium blockchain that puts the power in the hands of the individual to control their own verified data,” said Andrew Cunsolo, Senior Director of Product Management at Jobvite. “Jobvite is excited to collaborate with other industry leaders in shaping the Internet of Careers® to benefit job seekers, employers, and society at large.”

Relying on verifiable employee and candidate data allows talent acquisition teams to optimize and streamline the hiring process, reducing time-to-fill and cost-per-hire.

With Jobvite’s participation and leadership with the Velocity Network Foundation, the company hopes to empower job seekers by respecting their self-sovereign data rights and enabling candidates to take control of their own data when sharing with prospective employers.

“Velocity Network™ is by far the largest endeavor to build an open, ubiquitous Internet of Careers® for trusted exchange of learning and work credentials, led by the biggest names in the HCM industry,” said Dror Gurevich, founder and CEO of Velocity Career Labs. “Thus far, 30 global HCM and Education software powerhouses and service providers have signed up to use Velocity Network as their verifiable career credentials blockchain, representing 30% of the global labor market. We are excited to welcome Jobvite to the group of trailblazers working together to transform the world of work and build the Internet of Careers®.”

The Velocity Network Founding Members include Aon’s Assessment Solutions, Cisive, Cornerstone, HireRight, Korn Ferry, National Student Clearinghouse, Randstad, SAP, SHL, SumTotal Systems, UKG, Unit4, Velocity Career Labs, and ZipRecruiter.
