Results of 4th Annual Elections to the Board of Directors of the Velocity Network Foundation
The Velocity Network Foundation (VNF) has completed its forth annual Board of Directors elections. VNF was established as a collaborative, democratically governed nonprofit, with a membership consisting of diverse labor market stakeholders from HR and EdTech, nonprofit and multilateral organizations, employers and educational institutions. The Foundation exists to provide the governance framework for the Velocity Network, a public and open trust framework built to fix the broken data layer underlying the global labor market.
As a founding principle, all members participate in the democratic governance framework and are eligible to vote for the Board of Directors.
This year, twelve seats were up for election and 75% of eligible member organizations cast their votes, representing over 99% of the voting rights. VNF is excited and grateful for the level of participation by its membership and the engagement of the candidates.
Four existing board members were re-elected to the board and eight new board members joined. Four of the elected board members are delegates of VNF members, and eight are unaffiliated board members.
