Robin Weninger joins the Board of Directors of Velocity Network Foundation

Congradulations to Robin Weninger, Managing Director of the Global Institute of Leadership and Technology, on his election to the Velocity Network Foundation Board of Directors.

Robin Weninger is the Founder and Managing Director of the Global Institute of Leadership and Technology (GILT). His work focuses on leadership development in complex environments and the strategic integration of emerging technologies into organizations. He advises higher education institutions on the design of modern learning architectures and served as one of the architects of the first accredited Master’s program in Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies in Europe.

In addition to his advisory work with public institutions and private organizations, Robin develops executive learning formats that support leaders in making deliberate progress under uncertainty. He is also the author of Blueprints & Bruises, an ongoing writing project examining the practice of leadership in uncertain environments.

Speaking of his election to the Board, Robin said:
“I’ve spent a big part of my work around education and skills, helping people turn learning into real opportunities. Over and over, I’ve seen the same bottleneck: credentials are fragmented, slow to verify, easy to misinterpret, and often controlled by systems rather than the individual owners.
Velocity tackles this at the infrastructure level: verifiable credentials built on open standards, governed as a public utility, privacy-first, and designed for scale. To me, this is one of the most practical, high-impact uses of blockchain. That’s why I’m excited to join the Board and help bring this next-gen trust layer into real-world adoption across education, employment, and beyond.”
