Velocity Network Foundation Partners with the Learn & Work Ecosystem Library to Advance Credential Transparency and Interoperability
The Velocity Network Foundation (VNF) is proud to announce its collaboration with the Learn & Work Ecosystem Library—a comprehensive, community-driven information hub that curates and connects trusted resources to learn-and-work ecosystem.
Our most recent effort centers on expanding awareness of the Learn & Work Ecosystem Library Glossary Widget.
Launched in Fall 2022, the Learn & Work Ecosystem Library collects, curates, and coordinates digital resources to help users understand the nation’s complex ecosystem of education, training, employment, and work. Grounded in a commitment to open access and community stewardship, the Library invites users to suggest new resources and contribute to quality assurance by recommending edits. It was developed in collaboration with researchers from the George Washington University’s Program on Skills, Credentials & Workforce Policy. The goal: to create a living, continually updated hub of knowledge—built by the community, for the community.
As a contributor to this effort, in 2024, Velocity Network Foundation enriched the Library with critical content focused on Verifiable Credentials, Trust Frameworks, Distributed Ledger Technology, and foundational terminology that supports a more interoperable and equitable credentialing landscape. Each VNF-contributed entry is clearly attributed, offering a trusted perspective rooted in our mission to establish a unified, decentralized infrastructure for the global labor market. Among our contributions is VNF’s LER Requirements Document, which outlines essential considerations for enabling Learning and Employment Records (LERs) to function within a scalable, secure, and stakeholder-driven trust framework.
Fast-forward to 2025, the Learn & Work Ecosystem Library team is now pleased to offer a new “productized” Glossary as a free, embeddable resource for external websites. The widget brings curated, up-to-date definitions directly to users. It provides a simple way to connect your audience with the language and frameworks shaping the future of learning and work, and VNF is proud to feature this tool in support of the Library.
This partnership marks just the beginning of an ongoing collaboration between VNF and the Learn & Work Ecosystem Library. By working together, we’re helping to ensure that learners, workers, educators, employers, and policymakers have the tools they need to navigate—and shape—a more transparent, interoperable future of work and learning.
